Custodian refuses to get monitoring app for work, says it got her fired

Michelle Dionne refused to download an app that would monitor whether she was inside a “geofence” — an invisible boundary created by the employer — to tell when she and other custodians were on the job. An employment lawyer warns that an increase in similar “tattleware” is a slippery slope when it comes to workers’ privacy.
